Alex brings 20+ years in operating and working in enterprise software and SaaS.
Alex began his career dialing for dollars at Chicago-based CDW, where he feverishly learned all he could about solving customer problems. Growing several vertical and horizontal businesses, he spearheaded CDW Canada's Enterprise Sales ($0 to $9M, over 15 months) and National Healthcare Practices. ($0 to $22M, over 3 years)
From 2009 to 2020, Alex dedicated his career to strengthening public safety and national security, first in his capacity as co-founder & CEO of SceneDoc, a company that helped pioneer ‘mobile-first’ field reporting and evidence collection software. Alex got a real taste for startup, fundraising, board dynamics, leadership and the hardship of developing product-market fit and building ARR from $0 to $1M, and beyond. His company was acquired by Tyler Technologies (NASDAQ: TYL) in December 2018.
Following his company's acquisition and integration, Alex went on to serve as CRO & Managing Director, Canada at ANDE Corporation, a high-growth company whose mission is to build a safer world through the use of Rapid DNA technology. Here he led the company's expansion into Canada, developing the over-arching GTM strategy and accelerating product adoption through to product-market fit, leading to the first $1M in revenue.
In late 2020, knee-deep in the pandemic, Alex joined Qumu Corporation, the leader in enterprise video engagement software, to help transform the company from a traditional on-premise operation to an end-to-end SaaS business; all the while, rebuilding the global sales org and growing SaaS ARR from ~$11M to ~$14M and average ACV from ~$26K to ~$117K, over a 17-month period. The company was acquired by Enghouse Systems (TSE: ENGH) in February 2023.
Serving in roles spanning sales guy to CEO, Alex has led go-to-market strategy, while scaling teams and recurring revenue, in every chapter of his journey.
